Sweetnicks is a blog sent in by a reader. I like it because of the entries related to food and cooking, as well as the occasional pictures of yummy food. :-)

Monkey Puzzler

While I'm on the puzzle kick, Monkey Puzzler is another puzzle site with all different kinds of puzzles. On the main page, you can also view the most recent puzzles by category (e.g., logic problems, crosswords) or difficulty level.

The Puzzle Machine

If you like sudoku puzzles or cryptograms, The Puzzle Machine is for you. Every day, the site presents three sudoku puzzles (easy, not so easy, and hard) and a cryptogram. The answers are revealed the next day. Have fun!

Anime blogs

Your Anime Weblog and Anime!!! are two blogs from the same author (named Phenom) that give summaries of various anime movies and series. The post frequency is erratic (months can go by between posts), but there's enough existing content to keep you occupied for a while.

Jay Is Games

Jay Is Games is one of the better video game review blogs I've seen. It provides more in depth analysis of games than any I've read to date. Browsing through the blog made me wish I had time to play video games. :-(

Site Swap

The idea with Site Swap is that you can tell the author about your site (or just sites you find interesting) and possibly have it be published on the Site Swap blog in return for visiting the two most recent sites listed in the blog. In each entry, the author lists two sites with simple questions that you can answer by visiting the sites. If you answer the questions (which aren't hard), then you can submit up to two sites of your own. The author then chooses from among the submissions for the next blog post. It's a fun and simple way to publicize your site!

The Best of K750i

The Best of K750i is another photoblog I stumbled across with nice pictures I like. The K750 evidently refers to his Sony Ericsson K750i. I'm amazed at the quality of pictures you can get from a cellphone camera.

Lily's Wai Sek Hong

I'm a sucker for food/recipe blogs, especially ones with pictures of sumptuous food. Lily's Wai Sek Hong is such a blog. She obviously cooks a wide variety of dishes at home, as she writes about all kinds of Asian and Western foods, each accompanied by a picture of her work.

Guess the Movie

If you're a movie buff, try out Guess the Movie. Each day, a scene from a movie is posted on the blog, and you try to guess which movie it's from. The answer is revealed the following day. Out of the 10 that I tried, I only guessed 2. :-(

One Red Paperclip

What a neat idea. Starting with one red paperclip, the author hopes to trade up all the way to a house! Ludicrous, you say? He's already traded up to a three-day trip to Yahk, British Columbia! Go to One Red Paperclip to see how he's progressing.

NDEE EDEN

NDEE EDEN is an interesting blog that features different types of word play (anagrams, palindromes) mixed in with poetry. It's hard to describe -- you'll have to look at the site yourself.

Front Doors

The Front Doors blog presents interesting/artful doors from around the world. These are not the typical doors you'd find on houses in your neighborhood. Take a look, and maybe you'll get some new ideas for your own front door!

The site accepts reader photos, so if you see a really cool front door, you can submit a picture.
