Useless Advice From Useless Men is another blog that a reader wrote me about. Despite its title, I found that some of the advice in the blog isn't completely useless at all! And it's all pretty funny... if you don't take it too seriously.

Words of a Writer

Aside from everything else I like to do, I'm also an aspiring writer -- aspiring, as in, one day, I'll get around to writing down the story ideas in my head. Regardless, I enjoyed Words of a Writer because it provided a more in depth viewpoint from someone who has accomplished much more as a writer than I have, and it helps to learn about the business of writing as well as the art. Also, she just got her first book contract -- congratulations!

Truth Stories

Truth Stories is a nice little new blog that I stumbled across recently. It contains some interesting short tidbits, whether they be philosophical, humorous, or both.

Martijn's Blog

As a sucker for cool artwork, I found Martijn's Blog intriguing. His posts feature a design he created (most of the time) and some description of the image or other thoughts. I don't know how long it takes him to draw one of his designs, but I'm impressed that he posts a new one almost everyday.

Funny Commercials

Funny Commercials is a new blog (just started this month) that has, you guessed it, funny commercials. Because it is so new, it's hard to determine if it will be able to continue its momentum, but it's off to a good start so far. I like the funny Nike commercial from Feb 11 the best so far. Be warned that some readers may find certain commercials offensive or even not funny.

Henry the Adequate

Sent in by a reader, Henry the Adequate chronicles the adventures of a "superhero" named Henry the Adequate. If you enjoy superheroes such as The Tick, which I do, then Henry will be right up your alley.

The Torino 2006 Blog

Just in time for the opening ceremony tonight of the 2006 Winter Olympics, here's The Torino 2006 Blog. The author is a Norwegian who lives in Italy, near the site of the Games, so we should get an ordinary resident's views on how the Winter Olympics are progressing.

Star Wars Unmasked

Have you ever wondered what happens during the everyday lives of Star Wars characters that didn't make it onto the big screen? Now you can read about it at Star Wars Unmasked. The site is a hub for individual character blogs, each updated by a different writer. You can read about Han Solo's latest adventures or see what Padme Amidala is up to on "Big Brother: Naboo". Personally, I'm impressed that the Jar Jar blog is written the way that Jar Jar speaks, annoying as that may be. Mesa thinks mesa going crazy if mesa readen more of Jar Jar.

Blogger Status

With all the recent Blogger/Blogspot outages, the blog I've been turning to the most, sad to say, is Blogger Status. Sometimes I can't even reach Blogger Status, but sometimes it comes up before my blogs do, and I can see what the problems are or how long I can expect before I can access my blogs again.

Reel Reviews

I was looking for movie review blogs the other day, and I came across Reel Reviews. The site doesn't necessarily review the latest movies that are playing (for example, recent reviews included "Sin City" and "Office Space"), but it's one of the better ones I found.
